A product can be technically impressive and still leave someone wondering where to start. That gap is easy to dismiss as a copy problem. It is really an experience problem.
Every label, empty state, and explanation makes a small promise. People should know what will happen when they take the next step, and why that step matters to them.
I like to start with three questions: what is this person trying to do, what is getting in their way, and what do they need to understand right now? The answers are often simpler than the interface we have built around them.
Clarity takes work. It means choosing what to leave out, making a decision about the main idea, and testing whether the explanation makes sense to someone outside the room.
The goal is a product that respects a person's attention. When people can understand the value and find their next move, good design and good storytelling are doing the same job.
